Explore Whidbey’s boutique wine culture, where the art of vintner-craft is thriving.

A beautiful morning ferry ride will bring you directly to Clinton, the first stop on your tour of Whidbey Island’s “South End”. We will provide you with water, snacks and sunscreen to prepare you for your day of riding. After a brief safety talk, you’ll receive a detailed route description with map and directions. Then, you’ll have everything you need to get rolling on a safe and enjoyable ride!

Your route includes stops at the participating wineries, which are clearly marked in your directions. They are happy to host your group and give in-depth information about the wines made on Whidbey. Even if you aren’t into tasting, it is still a great place to take a break, use the bathroom or to simply soak up local island culture. The tasting fees are included, and we can also take any wine you purchase to the ferry dock or your car. Help is just a call away – contact information is located in the directions. Bathrooms and other points of interest are highlighted in the directions.

All rides will take you through Historic Downtown Langley, the “Village by the Sea”.  You may choose to park your bike and explore this quaint waterfront town on foot. A picnic lunch awaits you at Whidbey Island Winery, providing pleasant rest and time off the bike. The last miles back to Clinton offer one more winery stop and some good climbs, before finally descending to the ferry to complete your loop around the south end.

$120 PER RIDER
6-RIDER MINIMUM
17, 25  & 44-MILE OPTIONS

There are three different mileage options. Whidbey is wonderfully hilly, and there are no “flat” rides. Riders should be able to comfortably complete the mileage option you have chosen. The ride launches from Make Whidbey coffee shop in Clinton. Lunch will be offered for two hours, which will allow plenty of time for everyone to get there and enjoy a leisurely picnic. After lunch, everyone makes their way back to Clinton along the same route, about a 5-mile leg, with two pretty good climbs. Our support vehicle will make its final stop at the ferry dock to drop off any purchases, bags, etc. at 3pm. This will conclude our ride and support. You are free to linger and stay as long you wish, but please note we will no longer be available for support or drop-off of possessions.
